Understanding what you may be experiencing
Anxiety can affect thoughts, the body, sleep, confidence and everyday decisions. You may feel constantly on alert, get caught in “what if” thinking, avoid situations, or find it hard to switch off even when nothing obvious is wrong.
Therapy gives you room to notice how anxiety operates in your life without reducing you to a diagnosis. Together, you and John can explore triggers, meanings and patterns while building a more compassionate and steady relationship with what you feel.
You might consider support if you notice
These experiences are examples, not a diagnosis. You can contact John even if your situation does not fit a neat label.
- Frequent worry or racing thoughts
- Physical tension and difficulty settling
- Panic-like experiences or fear of them returning
- Avoidance that is making life smaller
- Health, social or performance anxiety
- Feeling overwhelmed by uncertainty
How therapy can approach this
John’s person-centred approach does not impose a rigid programme. Sessions can help you slow down, put words around what is happening and identify practical ways of responding that suit your circumstances. The work may include recognising patterns, strengthening coping skills and exploring experiences beneath the anxiety.
Appointments in Meath and online
Appointments are available in the private, wheelchair-accessible room in Kilmainhamwood or online throughout County Meath. Online therapy can be helpful when travelling while anxious feels like an extra barrier.
